Improving Amenities To Increase Experience & Safety on the Ave at the University of Washington
Design Question:
“How can community leaders redesign amenities and systems to increase the quality of experience of users of the Ave at the University of Washington and address pain points of safety that may affect this experience in order to foster positive emotions through user reassurance?

3. Survey Study Plan & ReportThe purpose of this study was to gain insight on the experience and safety of everyday users of The Ave at the University of Washington through focused observation.
2. Interview Study Plan & ReportThe purpose of this study was to gain insight on the experience and safety of everyday users of The Ave at the University of Washington through interviews. In the field research, I simply drew conclusions based on observations. While the observations were objective, the interviews allowed me to analyze users on a qualitative level.
The purpose of this study was to obtain insight on the experience and safety of everyday users of The Ave at the University of Washington through survey, and to report findings that would either corroborate, extend, or reveal additional concerns from previous studies. Utilizing a quantitative approach brings the advantage of larger pool of particpants.
